Story line:
Wadjda, an 11-years-old Saudi Arabian girl.She living in the capital Riyadh, imaginings of owning a green bicycle that she passes in a store every day on her way to school. She wishes to race against her companion Abdullah, a boy from the neighbourhood, but riding bikes is frowned leading for girls and Wadjda's mother refuse to purchase one for her daughter. She is abstracted by demanding to convince her husband not to take a second wife, as Wadjda try to discover the money herself by selling mix tape performing as a go-among for a tutor, and throughout other prohibited behavior in the school backyard.
After running afoul of the austere headmistress, She decides to join in a holy Qu’ran recitation competition, the SR1,000 cash reward of which would permit her to give for the bike. Her pains at memorising the verses impresses her teacher, but when she win the contest she shocks the staff by announcing her aim to purchase a bicycle with the reward money.She is told that the money will as a substitute be donated to Palestine on her behalf.
Wadjda returns home to discover that her father has in use a second wife, and that her mother has bought the green bicycle from the doll store. Wadjda wins her competition in opposition to Abdullah.
